Sto: on course as a technology leader

Motto: “Building with conscience.”

Sto SE & Co. KGaA (Stühlingen, Germany) is a leading international manufacturer of products and systems for coating buildings. Its large portfolio comprises paints, renders, plasters, lacquers, facade insulation systems, materials for concrete repair, floor coatings, acoustic systems, and rainscreen ventilated facade cladding systems. In 2019, the Group achieved a turnover of EUR 1.398 billion with over 5500 employees. At the end of 2019, the Sto Group was represented in 38 countries with 50 subsidiaries of its own and their operating sites. In addition, we are in supplier relationships with distribution partners in many other countries. The motto “Building with conscience” illustrates in three words the self-conception of the Sto Group which includes ecological and social responsibility. The company has its roots in a lime works which was founded in 1835 and was then acquired by Wilhelm Stotmeister in the 1930s.
